He has single-handedly brought the electric violin and the European tradition of great jazz-violin playing to the U.S. Jean-Luc Ponty met Danish violinist Mads Tolling at Berklee College of Music and recommended Mads to Stanley Clarke, where he has been a 6-year member in the Stanley Clarke Band.
